Navigation and Map Reading Skills

Navigation and map reading skills are an essential  skill set for anyone who enjoys spending time outdoors. Join us on one of our most popular events for a guided walk on the beautiful hills of Dartmoor and learn how to hike safely on the open moor. 

We will teach you how to navigate using a map and compass and cover the essential skills needed to feel confident on your own hikes and adventures in future years to come. This course is suitable for anyone looking to learn new skills or for those looking to freshen up on their current knowledge.  

Our navigation events are run by our friendly, experienced instructors who will share their extensive knowledge to ensure you are confident to venture out safely on your own excursions.

• Using grid references 
• Dealing with emergencies 
• Navigation techniques and much more...

Recommended minimum age: 10+ (Must attend with a paying adult aged 18+) - It is the parent(s)/guardian(s) responsibility to determine if you feel the event is suitable for any child attending with you.
